Summary: During the cold war, Americans feared that communists were trying to infiltrate the United States. At this 1950 "loyalty parade", held to protest a May Day demonstration in New York, citizen groups such as the National League of Masonic Clubs voiced their opposition to Soviet communism, condemning it as an atheistic ideology intent on enslaving the Russian people.
